But Now! It’s time for the brand new Trivia quiz for the week! In 1963, as this powerful and prolific decade began to unfurl The two most important bands of the decade and beyond had just begun to experience the spoils, demands, pressure and responsibilities that go hand and hand with success, celebrity and enormous wealth! In short order, and in response to this “Lifestyle Super Nova” both bands, primarily their principal song writer and completely independent of one another, wrote recorded and released a record about “escapism” or more precisely “Sanctuary! You, of course know who the two bands are, but can you identify the two songs we’re referencing? Here,s a hint: Both song titles are only three words long!
in summary, here’s what we need:
1) This first question is intended only for the loyal SMS readers who have lived in a cave for the last 60 years! Who are the two bands ?
2) What are the titles of the two songs ?

This one appears to be somewhat pesky but here’s my answer: 1) The Beatles and the Beach Boys, 2) ”There’s a Place” and ”In My Room”, and 3) both were released in July 1963 in the US but the Beatles’ song was first released in March as a track on their first UK album. Finally, the answer to your unasked bonus question is: ”Up On The Roof”, an “escapism” song by the Drifters which peaked at #5 in February of 1963 and was a bigger hit than either of the two aforementioned.
“Hokie Smoke” Bullwinkle, What a great treat to see you back here at ole SMS! And as always loaded with a pack ‘O info that reminded us of just how brilliant YOU are!
As use’ you nailed the quiz but your “Unasked question never occurred to me and I love it! And perhaps we should include, “Under The Board Walk” ?
Whatever, Hope your happy and healthy! You comin to Fla this year?
Thanx again for reaching out!

Yes, the Island of Burbank is alive and well…full of grandkids in the pool this summer…when they’re not playing video games.
I enjoy these questions every week and usually have a clue. This week I must have been trippin.
But…these answers would make for a good question down the line…just sayin’.
Stay well and keep us thinking!!
Would they be…
Peter and Gordon & Chad and Jeremy
I Go to Pieces, A World Without Love
Yesterday’s Gone, A Summer Song
Just a couple of wild guesses… Have a great day, All!!
