However, before we reveal this weeks question, we’d like to recognize the brilliant readers who chimed in on last week’s question, which was all about the great Tony Joe White and his mega hit Polk Salad Annie from 1969! First in ( which happens so very often) was long time reader and certified SMS Super Genius Mr. Fred Vogel! Following Fred was our old friend and colleague Mr. Larry in Munich! (Rick, as you know it always comes back to The Malibooz. In 1965 The Malibooz did the first color broadcast from the RCA Pavilion at the NY World’s Fair. We played 5 songs live; one of which was “Just A Little”
Well, I knew Sly Stone was the producer and their hits…
but Andrew nailed it!
The songs are “Just A Little” / “They`ll Make youcry”.
The second 1965 single is ” Don`t Talk To Strangers”.
The songwriter is Ron Elliott.
The three hits are: Laugh, Laugh, Just A Little,and Don`t Talk To Strangers.
