Summer is here! Isn’t it ? Well, Trivia Tuesday for May 26th certainly is! Brought to us by the warm and Groovey people at Omnivore Recordings! Your first choice for all the music you didn’t know, you didn’t know! Meanwhile, before we get to this week’s question, here are a few of the savvy readers who weighed in on last weeks question, which was: we fired off a half dozen questions about the lyric’s to “Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite” A Beatle classic from “Sgt. Pepper” First in with all the right answers for at least the third week in a row was, Owen! Hey Owen YOU ARE GOOD! Following closely by an old friend and legendary Music executive Mr. David Berman! Delivering all the right answers with a level of detail that got our heads spinning! We got three words for you David “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” Well done old chap! Lastly, Ron Wood chimed in and shared some interesting details as to how his mind was “Reconfigured” after hearing “Mr. Kite” and the album “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band” Thanx Woody! Great to have your “Reconfigured brain” on board!
But now! It’s time for this week’s new Trivia Quiz: During the Coda (for you non-musical folks the “Coda” is the end of a song) in The Beatle classic “All you need is Love” the band weave’s in musical references to the English classic “Greensleeves”, Glen Miller’s “In The Mood”, “Yesterday” and a robust ad lib of the chorus from “She Loves You” So…Your question is: Which Beatle or Beatles sings “She Loves You” during the Coda?… There is a possibility of three correct answers to this question, but, as we say here at SMS, “All you need is one” Additionally, All you need is Love” was Briton’s contribution to a first time global event! What was that event? And lastly what Beatle album features this “Beatle Anthem” ?
in Summary, here’s what we need:
=1) Which Beatle sings “She Loves You” during the Coda/ ending of “All You Need Is Love” ?
2) What was the International event “All You Need Is Love” was recorded for ?
3) Which Beatle album includes this great recording ?

Our “Way-Back Machine” takes me back to the SUMMER OF LOVE! And All You Need Is Love was/is a perfect anthem for 1967. Smack right upsife the head just one year out of H.S. So I believe Johm Lennon wrote & dang the song. This song was “added later to “Magical Mystery Tour”. And I think John sang “She Loves You & Msybe “Yestetday” too at the cool outro piece of psychedelic tripping at the end.
That year (’67) there was the “British precursor of We Are The World with the production of (OUR WORLD, ONE WORLD) worldwide broadcast.
good topic especially Now..peace.. wood
and yes…my mind is still re-configured!
Well, I’ll go with Macca if it’s not John…
Hey Owen, we’re not trying to be cute, but…. we didn’t say it wasn’t John!!
Ordinarily we try not to reveal the correct answer to the trivia quiz until the following week. However this weeks question seems to be confusing everyone…
The actual correct answer is both John AND Paul are singing “She Loves You” Keep that in mind next time you hear it! However, due to a miking Problem during the recording John’s voice is much louder than Paul’s on the second “She Loves You. Which is why most of us think, it’s John!
Thanx Owen!

1) John Lennon
2) Our World (TV program)
3) Magical Mystery Tour
Hey Owen! As usual you are first in “Before the ink was dry on the page! However your answer as to who sang “She Loves You” toward the end of “All You Need Is Love” is only partially correct! Would you like to take another pass at it?
