For real, It’s Trivia Tuesday for June 1st. Brought to us every Tuesday morning by all those Groovey people over at Omnivore Recordings! Your most definite destination for all the music you didn’t know, you didn’t know! However! Before we get into this weeks brand new Trivia Quiz, we’d like to recognize all the Groovey readers who showed up for last weeks question, which was: All about the lyrics to the classic 60’s song “Questions.” Recorded by both The Buffalo Springfield and Crosby Stills Nash and Young! While last weeks question generated less than a few correct answers, it inspired some great conversations and personal fond memories for all of us! But, for the record, coming in first for a staggering 5th week in a row was Mr. Jeffery Conroy! YOU! My friend, are a master class trivia tracker! Steve Winogradsky was the only other contender to correctly answer the quiz! But, huge thanx to all the long time SMS Super Geniuses who shared their stories! Wow! Is there possibly anybody out there that doesn’t love The Springfield and CSNY ?
But now! It’s time for the all new Trivia Question of the week: This weeks question is An Anagram, and a whole lot more! Here’s your Anagram: “Hairy Camera” So, here’s the deal, although our anagram is not considered “A sixties artist,” in 1994 they had a huge hit by covering a great song from a popular late sixties British band ! What is the title of the song, what is the name of this popular British band who originally wrote and recorded this great song ? Lastly, to achieve SMS Super Genius status, what are the names of the two band members / songwriters who wrote this hugely popular song ?
In summary, here’s what we need:
1) Who does ”Hairy Camera” unscramble to become ?
2) What is the title of their 1994 hit which was originally done by a late 60’s British Band ?
3) What is the name of the British band who originally recorded and released this classic song ?
4) For SMS Super Genius status, What are the names of the two Band members / songwriters who wrote this classic ?
That’s our story and we’re sticking to it! While you’re unscrambling your brains out, click on the link just below and check out Omnivore Recordings catalogue of the coolest music in the known world and beyond!

Hey Simon!
Succinct and on the money! As usual!
Cheers,
Rick
Thanks Rick! Have a great weekend
Mariah Cary for sure. And I am not 100% sure on this, but it could be “I’ll Be There”, and the early band would be the Jackson Five (but that was 1970). The writers are Hal Davis and Berry Gordy, although I am pretty sure they were not members of the Jackson Five.
. . . . oh, and I see it is supposed to be a British band. I guess that means the Jackson Five are out!
Mariah Carey
That’s all I have, I’ll leave the rest for the SMS genius’s
