Hum….just gave another listen to “Nowhere”.
It never occurred to me ,but I do hear a similarity of the riff.
The horns are so dominant and I love ’em, but it’s just SO NOT Keith.
Good call, Boss. You made me think first thing on 2 mornings this week!
Cheers!!
Great job, Jeff–I could only get half of these. However, #2, Going to the Chapel is the Dixie Cups. Loved The Crystals, He’s a Rebel, and the controversial, He Hit Me, and It Felt Like a Kiss.
My two additional girl group songs, the greatest ever: Be My Baby, by the Ronettes, and Please, Mr. Postman, by the Marvelettes.
Beatles fans know how much John and Paul borrowed the sound and romantic vibe of the Girl Groups.
Cheers Patrick!
I guess the ‘title’ swung my reply. “Chapel of Love”…or “Goin’ to the Chapel”.
Thanks for keeping us real!!
