The SMS Trivia Question of the Week 9 / 27…

Yes! Autumn has arrived, as well as the new SMS trivia question of the week for Tuesday September 27th! Brought to us each week by the very cool folks at Omnivore Recordings! Your spot for all the music you didn’t know, you didn’t know! But! Before we reveal this week’s Trivia question, we’d like to acknowledge all the sharp readers who weighed in on last week’s question, which was: all about the lyric’s to one of our favorite Beach Boy’s songs,“Heroes and Villains” First in with all the right answers, was The Wizard himself Mr. Steve Winogradsky! Ya did it again! Congrats Mr. Dub ya! Following closely on Steve’s heals was a. relatively new “SMS Super Genius” Ms. Lisa! Way to go Lisa! Next in was our old colleague Mr. Jeffery Conroy! Who brought along some GREAT stories you gotta go back and check out! Wrapping things up was our old friend and favorite bass player Mr. Curtis Stone! His unique take on the question is always’ a great read! Congrats and thanx lady and gents!

But now! It’s time for the brand new trivia quiz for Tues. Sept. 27th! This week’s question focuses on the great Johnny Rivers and one of his biggest hits! The song we have in mind, includes a lyrical reference to a relative of the singer, who lived ( according to the song) “just a half a mile from the Mississippi bridge.” What is the relatives’ first name and what is their relationship to the singer ?   1. I think we are talking about “Melmphis”, that I thought was recorded with lyrics by Check Berry? According to the lyrics Marie is “my Marie” and only six years old and “her momma did not agree”.
