The SMS Trivia Question for May 3rd

Yes indeed it’s time for the all new Trivia Quiz for Tuesday May 3rd! As we are still doing a bit of “House cleaning” up in the palatial offices and studio’s of SMS! This week we offer an abbreviated version of our weekly quiz!

We are going straight to the quiz, without acknowledging the brilliant and loyal readers who play along each week, which is our favorite part of the weekly Quiz!

So, here’s this weeks question: Take a good look at our brief list featuring many of our “All Time Favorites!

1) “Almost Cut My Hair”

2)”Love the one your with”

3) “Pickin Up The Pieces”

4) “The Loner”

5) “Your Mama Don’t Dance”

These five classic’s, specifically  their composers (except one)  share a common historical fact! And we need you to explain what this fact is ? Including the five artist’s who wrote and recorded these Gems! As well as identifying the one song that shouldn’t be included on this list, AND WHY ?

In Summary, here’s what we need…

1) Give us the names of the five artist’s who, respectively,  wrote and recorded these five classic’s ?

2) Identify the one song that doesn’t belong on this list and explain why, and replace it with a song of your choice that you believe could be included on this list!

3) Lastly, and this is our core question: What is the common historical fact that is shared by these five “Singer Songwriters”( including your replacement choice) ?

    • Crosby did perform with the Springfield at the Monterey Pop Festival when Neil would not.
