The SMS Trivia Question of the week 11 / 8…

“We’re back” Yes! After being AWOL for the last week, the all new SMS trivia quiz is back! Brought to us every Tuesday morning by all the Groovey people at Omnivore Recordings, your singular destination for all the music you didn’t know, you didn’t know! Meanwhile, as there was no question last week we have no quiz winners to recognize this morning, so let’s get straight to the question, which, to make up for last week’s absence, this week’s quiz is a sort of “Double Feature”! Here’s your question: Take a good look at the two lyrics below!

Lyric number one:

”I know that your lips are sweet”

” But our lips must never meet”

”I belong to someone else”

”And I must be true”

Lyric number two:

“Oh, it all began with just one little dance”

“But it soon ended up a big romance”

There you have them, two separate lyric’s from two different songs performed by two different artists! What we need to know is, what are the titles of the two songs that, respectively include the two lyrics ? What are the names of the two artists who respectively released these two gems from the early 60’s ? Specifically 1962 and 1963. Additionally give us the titles to at least one more chart record from each of the two artists ? Lastly, these two vocalist share a deep connection beyond each having hit records in the 60’s, what is their connection? And! For “SMS Super Genius” status, give us the title to at least one song they recorded as a duet?

In summary, here’s what we need:

1) Give us the titles to the two classic 60’s songs that include the two lyrics we posted just above ?

2) Give us the names of the two artists who recorded these 60’s gems ?

3) Give us the titles t o at least one more chart record from each of the two artists?

4) What is the connection between  these two vocalists beyond both having hits in the early 60’s ?

5) Give us the title to at least  one song they recorded as a duet ?

SMS note: Thru the years there have been multiple recordings of these two tunes! However we are looking for the two records that charted in 1962 and 1963!
