But! This IS one of the great in an important list of “Counter Culture” songs. Take away the melody and we have another example of the growing genisis of Rap. But what I know is that these words added to my own growing sense of the incredible struggle and the growing movements to NOT accept the dangerous status quo. The prose in these lyrics can be presented as brand new TODAY and BE THE relevant message right NOW!! Even the choice of snipits of borrowed lyrics came from “C.C.” songs of the day. And unfortuneately may continue to be on message for the foreseeable future. Even “googa mooga” was used by Frank Zappa with the slight change to “Great Googly Moogly” (like “HEY WAKE UP..LISTEN ALREADY!).
Anyway the title of this Temptations song is “BALL OF CONFUSION” and the only “Temps” I can remember are Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin. My apologies to the other awesome members. Oh..the date of release I guess at later sixties.
Love and Peace….wood

I’d have to lookup all the members of the group, so I’ll leave completing this one to someone better than me. Good luck.
