You are right on here…ICON IS a big road sign for this puzzle!!
Eric Clapton is one of our generation great musicians and song writers!!
The bands that come to my mind are: “Derek and the Dominos”, “Cream”, Yardbirds”, “Blues Breakers”. and “Blind Faith”.
He has touched just about EVERY great artist for decades. I am STILL DISCOVERING the enormous reach of his talents even in the backgrounds of classic music creations!!!
Okay, Eric Clapton…Cream, Blind Faith. Yardbirds, Derek and The Domninos, Delany and Bonnie. The solos on Desrali Gears and Fresh Cream are classics. One can almost sing each one of them and they are actually not that hard to play, which is probably why he was the 60’s guy. Every guitar playing wanna be could learn to play them. I know I did..ha ha ha. But he created them, that is what separates genius from a guy that plays guitar. Definitely Rock Royalty.

Well put! It is amazing just what 5 NOTES will do! Add on a mode or two and that’s where I started too. It’s [as Dr. Wayne Dyer said: “The silence between the notes.”] all about what we build with those notes. So much to learn from the likes of Eric, SRV, Carlos Santana, Dwayne Allman, Dickie Betts, and so many more. Infinite Masters of creation with a FINITE number notes.
