As it is each Tuesday Morning, it’s Trivia Tuesday for July 2nd. And, as we’re always proud to say, made possible each week by the Fab Folks at Omnivore Recordings! The coolest place on Earth for all the music you didn’t know, you didn’t know! Meanwhile, before we get to this week’s quiz we’d like to recognize the only two readers to show up for last week’s question, which was: What is the title to the one and only Lennon and McCartney song recorded and released by The Rolling Stones, BEFORE THE BEATLES? The correct answer is “I Wanna Be Your Man” Which was actually sung by Ringo when The Beatles finally got around to it! The truth is only Steven Winogradsky showed up with the correct answer! Way to go Steve! Additionally, our old friend Ron Wood dropped by with a little team support! Thanx as always woody!
But now, here is this week’s Trivia Question: Beginning Back In 1964, the original Dynamic Duo, Peter and Gordon, launched The British Invasion ( in lock step of course, with The Beatles) and began a string of over a dozen top 40 hits in The U.K. and The U.S.! Several of these great records we’re written by Lennon and McCartney! So, this is what we want to know, can you tell us how many of Peter and Gordon’s hits were written by John and Paul and WHAT WERE THEIR TITLES?
This week’s winner will be determined by the first reader in with THE MOST CORRECT TITLES!
In summary, simply give us as many Peter and Gordon hits you can recall, that we’re written by Lennon and McCartney Here’s an SMS Helpful Hint, the one that was written by Del Shannon doesn’t count!
Meanwhile, as your counting on your fingers and toes check out the link to Omnivores Homgage just below and browse the coolest music in the Universe!
Remember, you can answer the Trivia Question as often as you like, but you can only win a Groovey Omnivore CD every two weeks!

Unfortunately, at my age, any kind of marathon is out of the question.
Hey Fred,
We don’t believe that at all, especially when The Beatles are involved!
“Nobody I Know” could take issue with that, especially , that “Woman” we both know. I know if I got a Beatle related question wrong, she’d say “I Don’t Want To See You Again”
Just sayin’
Rick
Darn it. I should have known “Woman”.
A World Without Love
Woman
Nobody I Know
I Don’t Want To See You Again
All written mostly by Paul, but credited to Lennon/McCartney, except Woman, credited to Bernard Webb (Paul)
Paul was dating Peter Asher’s sister, Jane, at the time.
Hey Steve,
“faster than a speeding bullett, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings etc. etc.
You’re on it as usual!
Thanx,
Rick
The only one that comes to mind is “A World Without Love”.
Hey Fred,
Thanx but this week it’s a marathon not a sprint!
